Intervertebral Vertebrae Disc Prolapse

Between the vertebrae, jelly-like or rubbery structure which act as a cushion. They are made up of outer annulus fibrosus and gelatinous inner nucleus pulposa. Due to wear and tear, long hours standing and sitting, lifting heavy weights, trauma etc causes bulging out of the inner nucleaus pulposa. The herniation may occur posteriorly or posterolaterally. This results in local irritation and pressure on the adjacent nerve root. Sometimes the disc may protrude and rupture. This may cause severe pain in the back and pain radiating to the leg. With Ayurveda this can be managed effectively with internal and external medications.Vedagram has a unique protocol for the management of IVDP in the best way.
